Behind the Scenes: Filming All Access with Andy Garcia

Diz Petit

Founder, CEO

Being featured on All Access with Andy Garcia was a milestone for us at LiquiDonate. We’re showing the world how retailers can turn costly returns into community impact– and we’re so excited for you to see it.

LiquiDonate had the incredible opportunity this week to film for All Access with Andy Garcia, a show that highlights organizations and leaders driving meaningful change. Being able to share our story in this way was a milestone moment– and what made it so powerful wasn’t just the cameras, but the people who came together to tell the story alongside us.

Compassionate Warriors: Turning Loss Into Service

Tina, founder of Compassionate Warriors, shared how she started her nonprofit after the devastating loss of her son to homicide. Instead of letting grief consume her, she built an organization that now helps survivors of domestic violence, families of homicide victims, and anyone in her community in need.

She sources furniture, prepares and delivers hundreds of meals to people experiencing homelessness, and still manages to care for her parents, children, grandchildren, and even rescue dogs– all while running her nonprofit. Hearing her describe how LiquiDonate donations directly reach the families she serves was a reminder of the human impact behind every item we keep out of landfills.

Luxome: A Retailer’s Struggle to Do the Right Thing

We also heard from Hyaat, the founder of Luxome, about how hard it was to donate returns before LiquiDonate. His team tried everything, but donations would get mishandled– at one point even resold online– hurting his business and forcing him to stop donating.

When he discovered LiquiDonate, he told us it was the system he wished had always existed. Seeing him connect with Tina face-to-face was proof that donations are now reaching exactly where they’re needed– and that retailers don’t have to choose between sustainability and protecting their brand.

A System That Works

Moments like this capture the vision we had when building LiquiDonate: a system where doing the right thing is not only possible but simple. Retailers like Luxome can trust that donations are going directly into communities, and nonprofits like Compassionate Warriors can receive the resources they need to keep doing their life-changing work.

Living Our Values Beyond the Set

After filming, our team and partners shared a meal at Sixty Vines, a restaurant that shares our commitment to sustainability. They use a keg system that eliminates 26 glass bottles from entering landfills with each keg, and even repurpose corks into creative new uses.

It felt fitting to close the day at a place that embodies the same values we hold at LiquiDonate– reducing waste, rethinking systems, and making sustainability part of everyday life.

Looking Ahead

As All Access with Andy Garcia prepares to air, we’re excited to share this story on a national stage. This episode will show not just the technology we’ve built, but the people it connects– the retailers who want to do better and the nonprofits who make miracles happen every day.

We’ll share the official air date soon. Follow us on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter/X to be the first to know when it airs.

LiquiDonate exists to make it easier to keep perfectly good products out of landfills and put them into the hands of people who need them most. Seeing that impact play out in real time this week was unforgettable.
