My Top 20 Gift Guide: Support Retailers who Donate

People always ask me who our customers are because they want to support businesses that use LiquiDonate. We’re a good filter for which retailers are going out of their way to find a solution that makes sure any usable inventory goes to nonprofits instead of the landfill or incinerator. 

With that, I’m finally revealing our Top 20 Gift Guide — a lineup of some of our favorite LiquiDonate customers (+ a few bonus noncustomers we just love from afar) across lifestyle, apparel, home, wellness, and pure fun. It isn’t an exhaustive list, of course, but just some of my current favorites.

These are real brands we get to work with — brands who care where their excess ends up, who donate instead of destroy, and whose products make genuinely great gifts. Most of them don’t even publicize that they donate - they do it because it's the right thing to do, not for the accolades. Luxome is wellness, but make it accessible and beautiful. I’ve gotten to know their founder well and he practices what he preaches, having worked hard to seek donation alternatives since day one of business. 

⭐️ 2. GOB Earplugs

Did you know how bad classic earplugs are for the environment? When I found out, I switched immediately to GOB. These are compostable earplugs made from mycelium that make all other earplugs feel irrelevant. They fit in a stocking and will save you on your flight home from the holidays.

Why they’re awesome: They donate water by the truckload to communities, shelters, and outdoor organizations. Also, their merch is elite. Pretty cool name, too.

Working at a major brand, it’s easy to quietly turn a blind eye when it comes to responsible waste practices — not Room & Board. This is a brand you can spend with knowing they care - not only do they have an aggressive waste reduction goal and have been donating homeware with us since the beginning. They are a masterclass in timeless, modern furniture and decor.

Why they’re awesome: They do things the right way — craftsmanship, sustainability, and beautiful design. Their donated pieces bring dignity into community spaces.

Why they’re awesome: Their donated games turn community rooms into comedy shows. They care about the planet and they refuse to dump. As a gift, they’re always universally loved. Bonus? Almost everything they sell is $19.99 or under. 

⭐️ 8. Raycon

Wireless earbuds and accessories with real sound at a price that makes sense. Raycon brings quality electronics at prices much more wallet-friendly than the big brands. Everyone knows someone who would be thrilled to get a new pair of headphones or earbuds. We all lose them what, annually? You can never go wrong with this gift so you might as well support the brand that really cares and gives back. 

Why they’re awesome: They strike the perfect balance of quality and accessibility — and their donations disappear fast from nonprofit shelves.

⭐️ 9. Goodr

Running sunglasses that somehow don’t slip, don’t bounce, and don’t cost $200. We can’t say enough “good” things about Goodr. These are kind individuals who fulfilled a vision to make high quality sunglasses at an affordable price. Our team all wears them, loves them, and they continue to support as many individuals as they can with their donations. Their team is also just as fun and cool as you’d think they are. 

Why they’re awesome: With so many colors and styles to choose from, the right match for your gift recipient can definitely be found. They’re playful, they’re functional, and they’re an easy win for athletes and non-athletes alike. Most importantly, at $25 - $35, the price is always right.

⭐️ 10. Tuft & Needle

Modern mattresses and bedding that simplify the entire sleep industry. Our Director of Marketing can’t live without her Tuft & Needle mattress and with home delivery, you save on the schlepping and the giftwrap. It’s a “treat yourself” kind of brand! If you’re looking for a smaller gift – try their pillows! I may not know you, but I know you deserve a better pillow. 

Why they’re awesome: They make good sleep attainable — and their returns go to families and individuals who need rest the most. We have several mattress partners, but Tuft & Needle leadership in particular is incredibly committed to making sure their excess items get into the hands of local community organizations and we couldn’t be more grateful.

On the topic of sleep, this specialized mattress brand solves the problems of partner sleep incompatibility and chronic pain with their DreamCell configuration technology. Rachel and Gabriele Newman of NOW Collection are not just actors and influencers, but also passionate about helping communities and heart disease research. Their stuff is just next level cool - all designed by them and manufactured in the US, one of our favorites is their sellout 3D shirt. 

Why they’re awesome: Every purchase goes towards donating for heart disease research and support, a cause near-and-dear to the founders. They donate excess with us and their pieces are limited and unique so you know that your gift will be a stand out!

⭐️ 14. Motel Rocks

Fashion-forward pieces for the friend or family member who treats every sidewalk like a runway. Everyone has one! Motel Rocks is a British online brand that has been for the fashion in-crowd since they started in the 1990s and now have a global presence. We work directly with their wonderful US-based team.
Why they’re awesome: Trendy without being throwaway. Their donations help teens and young adults feel confident and seen. Simply, they Rock. 

⭐️ 15. Acorn + Oak

I met the founder of Acorn + Oak personally, and I’ve got to say it is rare to meet someone so dedicated to sustainability, even in the sustainability space. The company is also based in San Francisco and we love to support other Bay Area brands. The serums keep it simple, use natural ingredients like Kale and Kelp, and yield the same results as brands that charge four times for the same thing!

Why they're awesome: I read once that all you need for good skin is Vitamin C serum and daily moisturizer, and they have both. It’s quality, kindness, and affordability tied into one very stocking stuffer-friendly product. Also, at the time I’m writing this blog they’re offering a bundle for only $32. Don’t walk – run to buy this. Our team has already purchased several! 

⭐️ 16. Parks Project

Into nature? Or into supporting and protecting it? Check out Parks Project for gear and apparel built to support national parks and public lands. Literally what could be better?

Why they’re awesome: Every purchase restores trails, funds conservation, or supports outdoor education. Perfect for nature lovers. Also, they focus on bright colors and unique, fun patterns! Buy a fleece, but make it a party fleece. 

⭐️ 17. Ice Blankets

It’s the same story every year. What do I get my [spouse, mom, sister, etc.] who has everything and is super picky? I’ll tell you what: Ice Blankets. These are reusable cold therapy blankets with a cult following among athletes, schools, and chronic over-committers. Every parent of small children I know has some sort of body pain from carrying their children so this works wonders for that too.

Why they’re awesome: Practical, smart, and endlessly needed in community wellness settings. Also so much better than regular ice packs. Whoever you get this for will be surprised and delighted with something they will love but never thought about. 

⭐️ 18. Eco-Sports

Sports equipment and gear made from recycled materials — performance without the guilt. Eco-Sports deserves to be everyone’s top choice for athletic programs and individuals. With their sustainability mission, there’s just no other choice to get your soccer balls, basketballs, pickleballs, footballs, really any of the balls, from them.

Why they’re awesome: Forget flashy and seek eco-conscious sports gear for your kid’s soccer team, nephew that loves basketball, retired friend who is taking up pickle ball, or girlfriend who needs new leggings. There is only a win-win outcome with them!

We are here for all the men’s beauty brands! The Men Pen is a line of totally natural, non-toxic skincare, starting with brows. It’s wild how much of a confidence boost comes from good brows, and we love what these guys are doing because they’re removing the stigma around men’s skincare. Their first donation with us was over 250 products that bring luxury and dignity to so many who deserve it.

Why they’re awesome: Their pens, serums, and lotions are paraben free and phthalate free, non-toxic, and sweatproof. They fit perfectly into a stocking or by a Menorah, and there are easy tutorials on their website from real users (not influencers!) to get you started. 

⭐️ 20. Sundaze Heated Shorts

What if we told you there are heated shorts that reduce period pain by 50%? When I met Sundaze, I was just sort of in love with this entire concept. They are a small team local to Los Angeles trying to help individuals feel less pain naturally - and it doesn’t stop at periods. It could be any type of pelvic pain - or literally just cold weather! The comfort of sitting at home or wearing them out under sweatpants in the snow is the literal chef’s kiss of undergarments.
